My Junk mailbox has disappeared and I’m getting notifications from some that their email was rejected

While we do recommend updating your macOS to the latest one as you already have macOS Big Sur installed, we also recommend making sure you have a Time Machine backup saved before updating. Here's how to Back up your Mac with Time Machine.

As Junk isn't showing in Mail on both your Mac and iPhone, this does seem to point towards an issue with the email account you have set up in both devices. While you may need to contact your email service provider(s) about this, we'd like to confirm the following:

1. If you open Mail in your Mac and iPhone, then scroll through each account set up, do you see 'Junk' in any of those individual email accounts?
2. What happens when you try logging into each of your email accounts on their respective websites? It would be a good thing to confirm 'Junk' shows in each of those. For example: Yahoo, Gmail, iCloud(Apple), Hotmail, etc.

Regarding the emails you receive saying that your credit card statements are being rejected, this sounds like something for which you'll need to contact your credit card companies. Even though you already checked that your email account is already saved on their end, there may be something else that could be causing this from their side of things: security settings, account settings, an older email also is saved somehow, etc. This is especially true if you're still able to receive emails from other people other than your credit card companies.

We'd like to help with both issues occurring in Mail: the Junk mailbox missing and the rejection notifications you receive when sending emails to some of your contacts.

For your first issue, we're unsure of what you meant by receiving notifications that sent emails were 'rejected'. However, we do see an article at the top of your post that shows what to do If you can’t send or receive email on your Mac. If you haven't gone through all of those steps, we recommend trying all of them now. If the issue remains afterwards, please provide us more details as the more we have, the better equipped we'll be to help.

Regarding the Junk mailbox disappearing in Mail, we wanted to rule out some basics:

1. When did this first start to occur?
2. Have you changed any email preferences recently? For example: adding/deleting an email account, changing a password to an email account, etc.
3. If you have other Apple devices other than your Mac, is the Junk mailbox missing from those as well?
4. We also see you have macOS 11.2 installed, but the latest is macOS 11.2.3. While you may need to update it to rule out being outdated as a possible cause, we recommend holding off on that for now. Just in case, you can double-check which version is currently installed by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’.
