New iPhone

Unable to install update. Message says that you can install this update when your iPhone is finished restoring from the iCloud backup. It has been several hours since I started restore when setting up a new iPhone. How long should it take to restore? Can I check to see if restore was paused? And if paused how can I restart restore?

IOS 16 update fail After trying to update to IOS 16 through Itunes, my Iphone 12 showed me the restore screen. Now is stuck in the "Preparing IPhone for software update". This was right after it finished backing up the phone. Can i get the back up back after the phone is updated? Will I lose everything? I'm desperate.

Can’t install update i have new iPhone 11pro (4 days) i can see an update to install, but I can’t install it as it says: You can install this update when your phone is finished restoring from iCloud backup. My phone has automatic updates on, and has been on wifi for 4 days since purchase how can I see what still needs to restore?

Restoring requires your iPhone be on a good Wi-Fi connection. It should also be plugged in to power.

Check Settings > [Your Apple ID] > iCloud > iCloud Backup to check on progress.
