iTunes Interface

Although I'm glad that iTunes has been streamlined somewhat, I find that it is less configurable now. I prefer to show songs in my playlists but there's this huge window to show artwork now which minimises the song list. I find the artwork window far too big. Is there any way to shrink that top part to show more songs?

All I want to do is see lists of my music like I have done for years, Now when I choose a playlist, nearly half the screen is taken up by information about the playlist itself: space for art, playlist title, play and shuffle options, number of songs, total time etc. I don't want to see any of this. change itunes default to "view -> as songs" I used to like the old view of list of songs instead of the waste of real estate with all icons extra fluff, plus I would like to see additional columns and sort orders. Currently I create a playlist from an album. I then must go to View -> As Songs But I have a bunch (hundreds) of playlists, is there a way to have iTunes default to 'View, As Songs' in column format?

Search in Music In iTunes, when you used the search box in the app in the songs view, you could view see the songs getting winnowed down as you typed and the screen stayed in the same format (with all your artist, album, genre, last played, etc columns remaining the same) so you could easily view your search results. Now, when I search in the Music app the search results look more like an iTunes Store search - all I want is to see the view of my library in the view with all the columns but that seems to not be an option any more. Does anyone know how to get that?

There isn't an option to shrink the artwork area. Let Apple know you'd like one.
