Ipad pro 11" 2018 - Unresponsive section on the screen

Dear All,

This problem started a week ago when I was jotting down something on the iPad using the apple pencil. Specifically, the central strip of the screen does not respond to pencil input, nor finger touch input. An image had been attached for illustration purpose.

These are the approaches that I had tried but they simply just didn't work to alleviate the problem.

  1. Hard reset
  2. Erase all settings and contents
  3. Update to the latest iPad OS 14.4.1
  4. Turn on touch accommodation (as suggested by some of the websites out there)
  5. Turn on/off tap to wake

Do you guys have any better suggestion on what to do? Meanwhile, the iPad is 2 years old and no applecare was bought beforehand.

Thank you in advance.
