iTunes on Phone damaged in move to new phone

When I got a new phone the store moved all my data to the new phone. My iTunes library, which is also stored on my mac mini, was damaged in the transfer. Now it has the wrong album cover for most of the songs, and almost all of the songs are on the phone twice. To play an album, each song will play twice.

I have an undamaged copy of the whole library on my mac, yet when I sync the phone the issues with the iTunes library on the phone are not fixed.

How do I reload the music library from the computer to the phone without messing up the library on the mac or damaging anything else on the phone?

iPhone SE, iOS 14

I am not sure what this means (iTunes Library Damaged).

What you can sync with iTunes

  • Albums, songs, playlists, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and audiobooks.
  • Photos and videos.
  • Contacts and calendars.

  1. Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your ...
  2. Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music - Apple Support

The damage was that incorrect album covers were associated with songs, and most songs are now in the library twice. An album has changed to be Track 1, Track1, Track 2, track 2 etc.

I did try to sync the phone with the mac, and it did not change the errors in the library. I am trying to find out how to remove the corrupted library from the phone, then reload it from the Mac. Is this possible?

Answer not helpful, issue not solved. But thank you for the response.
