“Ad” links won’t open on my Iphone
Question:
Q:
safari won't open my search results for shopping but opens other links
After updating my phone several updates ago, I noticed that I could no longer open certain google search results in safari. I cannot open ads (say "ad" before the item/link) and I can't open the visual items/ads that show items for business. If I enter the business website directly into the browser, then safari will open it but I don't have the link for the item and may not get the same search result. It is only these results that safari won't open and instead gives me an error response that "safari cannot open the page because it could not connect to the server" which is not true because I can enter that store's website directly and it will work. It's as if this is some sort of default due to a restriction set on my phone. I have tried every suggestion I could find: cleared my data, reset everything that could be reset, closed out safari, updated iOS, hard reset, java script off, java script on, turned off experimental features, turned them back on. Everything I have found online, I have tried. I haven't found anyone who has described exactly my problem yet, so I'm hoping that someone might recognize the problem and help. I travel a lot and have to do lots of shopping and purchasing from safari and this has become a SIGNIFICANT problem.

Hey there Mine1_1,
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand you’re having issues opening websites from Google search results in Safari for your iPhone. It sounds like you’ve done some thorough troubleshooting for this and I’ll be happy to help.
Based off your excellent troubleshooting, the next steps would be to back up your iPhone and reinstall iOS using the steps from these links:
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue still continues, restore your iPhone to factory settings and test while in this condition. You can add your iCloud and other contact info back but do not restore a backup until you’ve had time to test this out. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, so be sure to have those handy:
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings
If the issue doesn’t continue in factory settings, restore your backup and test again:
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup
Regards.

I did not restore my settings from iCloud, as instructed, and while it was in the factory reset mode, I still cannot open these ad links.
