I unable to Select multiple items that are adjacent: Click the first item, then press the Shift key and click the last item. All items in between are included in the selection.

Eventhough had request for 3 Apple support...

I had tried few method and request support from Apple Advisor unfortunate unable to help myself but which might able to help some of you guys.

Step 1: Finder > Click Go at the top ( next to File, Edit, View ) then choose Go To Folder.

OR

press Command, Shift, G

Step 2: Input the below command

~/library/preferences/com.apple.finder.plist

Step 3: Final step

 icon > Force Quit > Finder > Relaunch

if not working just try to Shut down and Start back the computer

There are 4 types of Viewing Method in Finder which are icons, a list, in columns or as a cover flow.

All workable, only "icons" are not workable....

Simply put the other Finder views work differently than the icon view.

If you want to select a sequence of icons in Finder's Icon view mode, click the first, and while holding the shift key, advance the arrow key right-ward to select additional icons. To select n-tuple rows of icons, click the first icon in the row, press the shift-key, and then arrow downward. Or you can simply click in the space adjacent to the first icon, and then drag your pointer around all of the icons that you want to select. This is the current Finder Icon view implementation in macOS 11.2.3.
