Pink/Magenta display while shutting down following a recent update

Hi,

Following a recent update (to 11.2.3), I started getting a pinkish / magenta screen, where something is clearly not right. Just to be clear, everything else appears to be working fine, and below screen is only shown for a few seconds during the shut-down.

I restarted the laptop a few times, and also reset NVRAM using Option-Command-P-R combination, which did not resolve the problem.

Is there anything else I can try?

PS. I also did a diagnostic test by holding D - which did not find any issues.

PPS. When restarting the Macbook, if I don't enter my password and shut-down at that point, above screen is not displayed. In other words, I only see it once I logged in.

If there is no associated issue with the shut down report, You can suspect it is a simple glitch in half baked code associated with the update. Yours is not the first report I have seen.

Thanks for your quick response. Before I file a bug, please could you let me know where to look for the shut down report? I had a look at the system.log from Console but I cannot make much sense of it. Should I be looking elsewhere?

I did not get below error message, if that's what you mean:
Your computer was restarted because of a problem (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200553)

Thank you!

You do not need any logs or panic report to post your "glitch" as a bug. If Apple wants any follow up they will contact you directly.

This method has replaced the older openradar ticket for general use.
