HomeKit accessories "Not Responding" after activating new router
Hello everyone,
I replaced a OnHub router + Motorola SURFboard cable modem combination with a single xFi Gateway from Comcast to upgrade my speed. I used the same wifi network name and password for my new xFi Gateway. All my HomeKit accessories were working shortly after I activated the xFi Gateway. However, at some point all my HomeKit accessories started showing "Not Responding" in the Home app.
After trying different things I logged on to my new xFi Gateway router page and changed the settings for the 2.4GHz wifi network from 802.11 g/n/x to 802.11 g/n and channel bandwidth from 20 to 20/40 as shown in the following post. After that all my HomeKit devices started coming back online in the Home app and everything is back to normal.
