Lost icons on Menu Bar (Macbook Pro 15)

I had a Big Sur update today, and after the update the icons (wifi, battery, control centre) have disappeared and I cannot get them back. The boxes are ticked so that appear in the menu bar, but they do not appear there.

I even tried reinstalling the OS, but it made no difference.

How do I get them back please?
