Photos project problem

Hi - I moved about 200 pictures from an album in Photos on my macbook pro and organized them into a specific themed order in "projects." I successfully showed the project as a birthday slide show and want to save it on a thumb drive for the birthday girl. Unfortunately, when I copy them, they are NO LONGER in the themed order. I spent hours and hours getting the order set up. What can I do?

If I try to move them back to an album, they are all out of order there, too. Is there anyway to save the order of pictures in my Photos project on another device or even on my desktop?

There are a couple of ways to do what you want:

1 - export the slideshows as movie files and put them on the flash drive.

2 - put the photos in an album, arrange in the order you want, select all and export using the Album + number as the new file names.

3 - repeat #2 but use the File Name = Sequential where you put in file name and -1, -2. -3. etc, will be tacked on to the end of the file name.

4 - repeat #2 but run this Apple script on the photos: Batch Change Title to Text w/Padded Sequential Numbers and export using the Title as the new file name.

The script compiled as an application can be downloaded from this tutorial site:  P01 - Applescripts from Photos’ User Tips Compiled as ApplicationsNote: the album in which the photos are located can't be a Smart Album, or in a folder or nested in another album. The first time you run the app Control (right) - click on it and select Open from the contextual menu.

Bless you and thank you. Solution # 1 worked - I had no idea that was an option - probably obvious to everyone else! Once you know, you know.

I was reluctant to send the project file back to an album and then try to rearrange as sorting so many images takes so much time, but if I'm ever in a pinch, I have that as a back up.

Thanks.
