WiFi Issues IPhone 12 Pro Max

I am constantly having WiFi issues where it shows connected and then when I use safari, WhatsApp, YouTube or any other app that needs to connect it WiFi, it does not load.

I have to disconnect the WiFi and reconnect or just use my data.

Befoe anyone says to rest my network settings or reset my router I have already done this.

All the other IPhones in the house, 7 X and my work SE 2, iPads and Laptops connect fine.

The issue only seems to be with the new device, please help.

Hi there, I2fanM,

After reading your post, our understanding is that you are having trouble with keeping your iPhone 12 Pro Max communicating over a Wi-Fi network, though other devices do not have a similar issue. You've come to the right place for help!

The Apple Support articles If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support is designed to help troubleshoot issues connecting with, and transmitting data over, Wi-Fi networks. We suggest ensuring you have followed all the steps in that article first.

Once you have confirmed all steps in the above article have been completed, we also suggest checking out the recommendations offered in Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support for additional assistance.

Additionally, some Wi-Fi networks may limit the number of devices that can connect at one time. Once that limit is reached, new devices attempting to join the network may have trouble getting, or staying, connected, and/or may have trouble sending and receiving data once they are connected. It looks like you have several other devices also using the Wi-Fi network, so we would recommend the following steps to help determine if this may be the issue:

  • Disconnect all devices from the network. This not only includes your other iOS devices and computers, but also any gaming consoles/devices, smart appliances (like TVs, refrigerators, washer/dryers, etc), wearable technology (like an Apple Watch or FitBit).

Then,

  • Connect only your iPhone 12 Pro Max to the network and test to see how it performs.

If the iPhone 12 Pro Max works without issue while no other devices are connected, it is likely a capacity issue. To resolve and manage this, make sure you disconnect devices from the network when not in use.

Best!

Thanks for following up about your iPhone connectivity issues.

If you are also experiencing trouble connecting to your carrier's data network, we would suggest trying the steps If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support next.

While the title of the article doesn't match your issue exactly, the steps included in the article address issues connecting to your carrier's network and will still be helpful.

Should you continue to experience problems with network connectivity, we encourage you to get in touch with Apple Support directly. You can do that here: Apple - Support - Product Selection.

Cheers!
