“Unsupported File Format” for pictures in Notes app

I had quite a few pictures pasted into a Note in the Notes app on my phone. Now all of a sudden when I return to the note, all of the pictures are not showing up, saying “unsupported file format” when I click on the spaces they used to be. How can I get my pictures to return?

New iPhone: Notes photos not loading I setup a new iPhone 14 pro today and my notes are there, but none of the photos I had in my notes will appear. They are blank on the note but show a white box from the file/ folder view.

Photos not showing in the iPhone Notes app. Please help me with this: All the photos that were saved / inserted in my Notes app are now gone and instead I see a small icon with “jpeg” label. She can't access her photos inserted into her notes. I have a lot of important information that I had saved as pictures in notes using the “insert photo” option in notes and now it’s all gone. How do I retrieve these pictures?? These photos showed fine for many months. Thanks!
