Home App / HomeKit has no remote access with iPhone 12 Pro on Verizon

I can control my accessories without any problem on Wi-Fi but can't access remotely (all shows No Response) with my iPhone 12 Pro on Verizon. However, my wife's iPhone XR has no such problem.

I double checked all the settings on the Home Hub (iPad) and my iPhone and found no issues.

It's almost the same issue with another Question asked but not answered here:

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks a lot for the kind help.

I solved the problem by removing extra home hub under my account. I used to have two iPad as home hubs (one as a backup in case one is taken out of house). There was no problem before but I had the mentioned problem recently. Not sure if it's related to the latest iOS updates.

After removing the extra iPad as home hub, I can access home accessories without issues. At some point, I probably will have a new Apple TV to act as hub.

Hope this help others.

Greetings Wei360,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We're happy to help with this trouble you're having with the Home Kit on your iPhone 12 Pro. First, we want to make sure that the software version is current. Follow the steps here to check, and update if needed:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

You also want to follow these steps, and test the issue after each one:

  1. Make sure the HomeKit accessories are powered on. If an accessory uses batteries, check the charge.
  2. Make sure that the iPhone's Bluetooth is turned on.
  3. If the trouble persists, delete the accessory from the Home app and set it up again. To set up an accessory again, you might need to restore it to factory settings.

Let us know the outcome, and we can go from there if needed.

Good luck!
