network speed capped at 100Mbps
Hi Everyone,
Have any of you had experience that the network speed on iMac is capped at 100Mbps?
My iMac (21.5 inch, 2017) network speed was all working well until I reinstalled a fresh new MacOS (Big Sur).
I currently have 250-300 Mbps download speed with my other devices (via both ethernet and Wifi), but now with iMac, both ethernet and wifi speed got capped at 100 Mbps.
It is the same moderm and cable (cat6) that I used for 250Mbps.
I tried to delete both Wifi and Ethernet profile in system preference, and delete the system configurations, etc, basically everything I could find on internet and forums, but no luck.
Also tried to manually change the speed in "Hardware" tab, but it simply says cable unplugged.
I don't think this is a hardware issue as both Ethernet and Wifi are capped, it more like a software issue?
I am out of solutions, can anyone help?
