How to save an attachment directly to a OneDrive folder

My work organisation uses OneDrive for business and I frequently receive emails to my MacBook Pro (running Mojave version10.14.6). I cannot seem to save the attachments directly to OneDrive in the same way that I can save a document (by choosing 'online locations' in the save dialogue box). At present I only have two options: open the attachments and save individually OR save all to my desktop then drag them into an online folder in Safari.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

And why can I not choose 'Mail' as the topic for this discussion?!

Hello VilniusNic,

We understand that you're attempting to save email attachments directly from the macOS Mail app to your Microsoft OneDrive synced account without first saving elsewhere as an intermediary.

We were able to find this information from Microsoft that may help you set up the sync to your Mac and create a folder on your Mac where you can choose to save things. Sync files with OneDrive on Mac OS X Should you need further assistance with that, be sure to use the 'More support' link to work with Microsoft directly.

If this provides you with a folder in Finder you can save data to and then sync with your OneDrive account, you can then secondary click an attachment and save to it and even change the default folder downloads in Mail get saved to from Mail > Preferences > General > Downloads folder.

Thanks.
