Hello. I was cleaning out my pictures and then I discovered THOUSANDS of these random photos. I never directly downloaded them but I'm assuming they came with an application. Please help me figure out where these come from and how to prevent more photos from being downloaded. Thank you!

Clear the caches of any browsers you have (ie Safari, Chrome etc) and do a search to see if they are still there.
As Keith mentioned, if you click once on one you will have the folder path at the bottom of the windowb of where it is stored, which should indicate how it got there (ie if in a Mail folder it is on an email, etc)
These are probably in various apps or your browser cache.
You can click on them to see where they are located. This is normal.
Just where these? In your Photos app or just in the pictures folder?
when I restrict the search to "documents" only, It doesn't show up but when I choose "this mac" all the photos appear.
