Random Photos on MacBook

Hello there! I went to take all the photos on my MacBook and put them on a sd card. When I checked the SD card, I found photos of random families, random places, random emojis. They don't show in my downloads folder, and I don't know what they are. I am on macOS 11.6.2.

The only thing that comes to mind is: was this SD card completely erased BEFORE you tried putting the photos from your MacBook on it? Could it be possible that these items already existed on the card?

How exactly are you copying these photos to the SD card? That is, does your notebook have an SD card slot? ... or are you using some type of adapter? (You didn't mention the exact model of your MacBook Pro. There are a lot of 15" models.)

How exactly did you proceed to get "all the photos" in your mac?

If you did a global search, like this, you will have gotten several images from system locations, as well as your own photos.

You need to select a location, like your home folder, instead of "This Mac", to circumscribe the file selection.

Press Command-Shift-H to go to your home folder, do a search like this but click on the name of the folder.
