“HP Installer” needs to be updated - please advice
I have a Mac/macOS Big Sur version ii.2.3. My HP printer stopped working/printing properly.
Re-installing printer software results in message: “HP Installer” needs to be updated.

Check this Apple document to see if your HP printer is AirPrint compatible: About AirPrint - Apple Support. If it is you don't need an installer. Check the printer's manual to see how to setup the printer via WiFi for wireless printing.
