can I safely use my apple power adapter extension that came with my 2012 15" MBP, with my new 2019 16" MBP

Hello. Anyone know the definitive answer to this, as I keep hearing different things

My case scenario is this:

  • My 2012 MBP 15" had a MagSafe charging cable - consisting of the MagSafe connecter and power cable going into the white square power box
  • and then It came with a cable with a power plug on it that attached to the white box (i just had to slide off the power plug already on the white box)

BUT my new 16" MBP has

  • just the USB-C charge cable that plugs into the white box, and just the power plug attached to the white box. This is removable.
  • And this makes the connection to my new food regime

But does anyone know if I can then safely use that old power extension from my 2012 MBP.?

Yes, you can. It attaches to the power adapter (i.e., "white box") for your new MBP in the same way as it did on the old one.
