Removal of app store on latest iTunes (12.11)

Why remove the app store?? I recently updated an app via my phone (only option now) and the app wouldn't work, so I thought I'll just reinstall the old one. Oh not able to do that any more.

Fortunately I still have my old pc with an old version of iTunes so it was just a matter of deleting the new app from my phone, searching ipa files, find the one I wanted, double click, (do you wanted to replace this with an older version?) Yes I do, then sync my phone and the old app is back and working. Also being able to place the app back in it's folder using my pc with iTunes is so easy.

Any thoughts from anyone on this issue?

Cheers

Thanks for your reply. I've had a look through some of your links. I don't want to go back to an older iTunes version. I will say that until I bought my new pc this year I did not find a problem with data from updating apps, the app may show 200mb but when you downloaded it the file would show maybe 100mb as it was only doing an update.

My concern is going back to an older version when the new one doesn't work. Today i found the IPA files on my new pc but when I double clicked it just took me to the iTunes store. maybe when I update my phone to a new model things will different. My experience with app updates has had me many times reverting to the older version for various reasons, but maybe in the future that won't be possible.
