Applications not compatible

Why do i have no updates although my application store? However I have applications that say i can't use it unless its at version 10.14. Currently at version 10.13.6

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

If you have a 2012 or later Mac

Open in Safari: macOS Mojave 10.14

If you can't upgrade to Mojave, you can't update the apps.

The link above will get you what you want. That is an upgrade to a different OS, not an update to an existing OS. They are completely different things and are accessed differently.
