Fast shutdown on Macbook Pro M1

Previously on my Macs I used Control–Option–Command–Power button* or Control–Option–Command–Media Eject  to quick mac power off

Now this hotkey combination doesn't work on my Macbook Pro M1. How to enable it?

Hi Cabbageboy,

It sounds like you're trying to enable a shutdown shortcut. We're glad you've joined us in Apple Support Communities, and we can provide some assistance.

Let's follow the information in "Sleep, log out, and shut down shortcuts" in Mac keyboard shortcuts. The documentation states in the asterisk that this shortcut doesn't apply to the Touch ID sensor.

We hope that helps with your question and take care!
