Notifications not working

Hello. After the recent update my notifications are not working. It’s as if they were just turned off. I dont see the red dots on apps, no entires in the notification centre, I only see them when I actually open an app.

I tried looking into the settings to check if they are for sure enabled, and they were. Nothing was muted in apps either. I tried to restore my settings to defaults, but that also didn’t help.

I’m out of ideas by now, and it’s pretty annoying to not have gmail notifications, no messenger, instagram or hangouts.

Could it have been caused by the update? Any ideas on how to fix the issue?
