Logic Pro - MIDI keyboard no sound

How do I get sound from my computer when using a USB Midi player? I just bought a M-Audio Keystation 49 MK3 and I cannot get the sound to come from the computer. I'm not sure how to set it up properly.

I plug in my M-Audio Oxygen 49 and my macbook Pro tells me it will have to switch audio output to internal speakers. Almost like its recognizing the keyboard as an audio interface.. Can't hear Roland JV1010's sounds in Garageband Using a Yamaha DGX-660 and Focusrite 4i4 to connect to my Macbook Pro. We are able to play the Yamaha keyboard sounds nicely, as well as Garageband's Software Instruments. Awesome! We just can't hear the Roland JV1010's sounds! Right now, we have the Roland connected to the Focusrite (from the Roland's L Mono output to the instrument input on the front of the Focusrite). Do I need a midi cable? If so, do we run it from the output of the sound module to the Focusrite's midi in? Do I need a certain setting in Garageband to hear these sounds? How do we set the midi settings in Garageband?

Audio MIDI setup missing built-in output I am trying to set up the ability to take screen recordings with internal sound but the Audio MIDI setup doesn't show the option for built-in output. I have Big Sur with M1 chip. I have installed BlackHole, tried Soundflower, iShowU, OBS, QuickTime etc. I don't think the problem is in the apps but my laptop itself. I also tried to restart the laptop and login on safe mode but the problem remains. I have tried to google this and no one else seems to have this problem (or then I don't know how to google properly). I had the built-in output option on my old laptop running High Sierra, so I know how to function the Multi-Output Device.

I’m assuming you know that it doesn’t have any sounds until you open an instrument in Logic? Have you opened Logic and created a software instrument yet?

Yeah I’ve chosen an instrument, I’m guessing it’s to do with the output or something? It will no doubt be something simple but I have no idea where to start. Any ideas?
