How to get Calendar to format HTML

I'm new to using the Calendar app (I've always just had my Google Calendar up). However, I'm so annoyed that when I get invites, they're showing up as HTML instead of formatted (i.e. instead of text being bold, it shows up as <b>text</b>).

After an online search, I see this has been an issue others have with Calendar. But that was several years ago, I guess I assumed Apple caught up with basic HTML...? Or am I wrong? Am I not seeing how to change some setting or another to make the text show up correctly?

iCal display in web browser - problem with text I view my iCalendar in iCloud via a web browser on a Windows 10 PC. A couple of weeks or so ago the layout of the display changed and the text of an event now cannot be read unless the event is at least 45 minutes long - the bottom part of the text is truncated. If two events overlap this is compounded, so that both events have to be even longer so that the text of each can be read (because they are displayed alongside each other). Moreover, if an event also has location text, then it has to have a duration of at least 75 minutes before all of the text can be seen. This is the same in all three of the web browsers I have tried, which are Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. It is very irritating, as I have many things that only take 30 or 60 minutes, but I now have to schedule them as 45 or 75 minutes or longer. Moreover, events scheduled by other people appear in my calendar without all of the text being visible. I cannot find a way to alter this via the iCalendar settings and I have tried reducing the browser font size but that doesn't alter the iCalendar display (it just makes everything else very difficult to read). Can anyone please advise if there is a solution for this or if it is a bug that needs to be fixed by Apple?

No edit button on calendar events There is NO edit button on events that I own! Please help.
