Extending limited warranty to AppleCare?

I just bought an iPhone 12 Pro Max with my local carrier service. I wish to purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan to extend my iPhone warranty. Unfortunately, there was no option for me to purchase the AppleCare product. Is there any way I can extend my iPhone’s warranty?
