How can I free up my system storage (Mac book pro Mojave)

My laptop is constantly telling me my scratch disks are full. I have edited so much, I have hardly anything left on my laptop and it's still telling em the same thing. It's telling me my system is taking up 53.71GB of space, can that be right? (It says Mojave takes up 8GB of space?) How do I get this down.

Hope you can help?!

Lucie

Hi Lucie,

Welcome to the Apple community where some of us do our best to help each other.

Apple has a support page that may help you ... (not sure if everything applies to Mojave though ?)
