iPad 7th generation on endless apple loop

My 2019 iPad (7th gen) has been on an endless Apple loop since I charged it overnight with a cheap gas station cord and a regular iPhone wall outlet. It was perfectly fine before but the next morning, it would restart every five minutes or so even though the battery said it was at 100% - This happened maybe half a dozen times before it finally shut off and wouldn’t turn back on and it is now stuck on the endless Apple logo. It will show the Apple logo, turn black for maybe 5 seconds, Apple logo, black screen, Apple logo, and so on.

I’ve tried DFU mode on iTunes with no success. I’ve tried to update the software and it would stop towards the end and said it could not be updated with an error code.

any idea what could possibly be going on?

(also, it will hold a charge but it will do this loop for HOURS until I’m assuming the battery eventually dies)
