What is emergency override mean?

My phone says it detected liquid and I plugged in my phone charger for a sec and it says emergency override. What does that mean?

This is to remind you that there may be water in your charging port and your iPhone may be damaged. However, you will have the option to continue charging if you are in an emergency. I would recommend that you take the lightning cable out.
