How to get Pop mail eMail settings for High Sierra on 2010 MacBook Pro?
MacBook Pro
Thanks for your input, BobTheFisherman , but I tried all of those (except a secure mail key) & couldn't get any to be accepted by my osX 10.13.6 High Sierra. All of my imap logins work fine on this MBP & my iPhone Pro Xs Max & iPad Pro (9.7 inch). Only Pop Mail fails on my MBP.
This (my AT&T email server) may be the answer to my problem: My eMail provider is AT&T. My MBP had been in a shop to get the motherboard replaced for a display problem (turned out 2B a broken etch). When I got it back, I tried to set it back up as it was, remembering that it had started to object to trying to use Pop3 eMail. Thus, my problem.
The main reason for me wanting to use Pop3 is, I had set up my server to erase any message from the server that I had deleted in Apple Mail, which I have not figured out how to do with imap. Now I have to do the server housekeeping manually! Grrr!
Thanks to all for your help...
Who is your eMail provider, many have dropped support for POP?
OK, take care my friend. :)
