Safari 14.0.3 seems not to use Google as my default search

Safari 14.0.3 seems not to use Google as my default search engine even though it is set in my preferences. Also, doing a search for a company link seems to hang continuously. The machine is new Air with M1 chip Air running Big Sur 11.2.3.

FireFox seems ok, for now...

You must have malware installed.

Use Malwarebytes to remove it.
