Is the Mu editor a safe download
For a download like the Mu editor that I would use to learn Python, since it does not come from the App store, is it safe to download. I have a late 2012 Mac running Catalina

I had never heard of the "mu" editor before, but then I haven't programmed in years. A quick search reveals that Debian Linux includes the "mu" editor in the Debian software repositories and Adafruit (a respected hobbyist store and website) recommends it for programming their boards. Just get the app direct from the source which appears to be:
