If you’re suggesting a shorter band be offered by Apple, send your feedback to the folks at Apple: Product Feedback - Apple

if you’re looking for a shorter band, there are bands compatible with Watch widely available, and of various lengths.

Of those from Apple, the Apple Nike sport bands or the Solo loop might be of interest, too.
