I have a late 2013 27" iMac.
I am purchasing a 2020 M1 Mac mini.
Can I use this adapter to use my iMac as a display for the Mac mini?
If not, is there another adapter that I am able to purchase so that I can utilize this perfectly good monitor?

If I understand correctly, older Mac Minis are able to use the iMacs running older OS as displays.
I am well aware what an iMac is as I am the one that purchased and owns it.

You cannot use an iMac as an external display for the M1 Macs.
iMacs are computers. They are not displays for other devices.
