On Macbook Pro 13" M1 Diagnostic at startup does not work

Trying to run the diagnostic at startup, using the suggested method for Apple M1 chip. The diagnostic loader is not able to load and just keeps trying.

MacBook Pro m1 Won't Run Diagnostics Hello! Need help with running diagnostics on my MacBook Pro M1. Tried running diagnostics for the first time today just to see if everything's running good but all 3 times I tried, it would freeze just a couple of seconds in and the only way I ended the test was by forcing shut down by holding down the power button. Waited a full half hour on my third try just to give it a fighting chance but still didn't budge. Software is updated to the latest version (Big Sur 11.4 20F71). Anyone else having the same issue / got any advice on this please? Thanks!

Does this mean you were never able to view the Diagnostic Codes?

Perhaps if you were able to restart in Safe mode, then start again

after about 15/20 minutes (to exit safe mode.) And startup as usual.
