I changed my ppassword for my Apple id, but iCloud won't accept the new password on my mac.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

password trouble with continue with icloud i just reset my apple id password, then go back to preferences in icloud where it asks for my apple id password... i enter my new password and i know its correct but its saying its incorrect. can anybody help me with this? thanks!

I have changed my Apple ID Password. But when I enter it later to enter iCloud, the window tells me "Could Not Sign In". This has been happening the past month since I was advised by Apple to change my PW. HELP!!! Why will my new PW be recognized?
