Any tips on saving battery life.....

Secondly would you advise leaving my iPhone on charge all the time?

From my personal experience, I would recommend charging your phone every night, all night.. top off during the day as needed, not letting the charge drop below 20%

Making sure that the Optimize Battery Charging switch is turned on in Settings > Battery > Battery Health

and of course, as QuickTimeKirk is getting at.. if the battery health is below 80%, get the battery replaced
