Mac Pro 2013 SSD mounting screw size?
What is the screw size for the Mac Pro 2013 SSD mounting screw. The head of the one that came with it is to big for my new WD 750 SSD.

What is the screw size for the Mac Pro 2013 SSD mounting screw. The head of the one that came with it is to big for my new WD 750 SSD.
According to a website with a teardown guide the screw is a 6.5mm T8 Torx (I see Apple references it as M2.5). Take the screw to your local hardware store to see if you can match it with one with a smaller head (match the threads too) or you can try grinding the head smaller making sure to wipe away all excess metal shavings.

Thank you. I got back from the hardware store an hour ago, and it is a M2.5. I finally narrowed it down by threading on some nuts that they sell. I'll purchased two nuts and two screws. I'll use the nuts so I can grip onto the screw to grind down with my Dremel.
