Changing pitch of the loop

I understand. The melody or phrase shill not necessarily conform to the key or scale of the song. You will have to utilize a more sophisticated method such as “Flex Pitch” to change the actual notes around. Melodyne is also very good for this but it is also not native to Logic and must be purchased separately.

Try out Flex Pitch and let me know what results is yields.

Please go to Preferences and enable Advanced Settings. Transpose in the region inspector will increase or decrease the pitch of regions so long as they are selected and in focus.

Hi there,

Most likely they chose loops/samples that were in the same key and same mode (major or minor). Sometimes people get lucky but a fundamental understanding of Keys and Basic scales can really help anyone working in any DAW. Has this answered your query?
