Trying to combine PDFs

when I try to combine PDFs on the quick action drop down, it makes a noise but then the new combined PDF disappears.

You need to use the Preview app to do this, not Safari.

What quick action drop down? What app are you using? We are not mind readers. We are users like yourself trying to help one another but questions need to be clear.

No App involved. Just trying to combing pdf's in a file. What has helped with this and another problem I had with downloads was to shut down and restart.
