Activity/heart rate sensor

My Apple Watch SE series worked to track activity and heart rate yesterday. I charged my watch overnight and now today it will not get a heart rate measurement, and when I try to open the activity app on the watch, it is black. I took off my watch and wiped the sensor and also shut my watch off and turned it back on, still not working. Any other suggestions?
