Is it possible to boot into windows using some form of boot camp and not something I have to pay for?

First off, I know it seems cheap that I don't want to pay for an OS, but I was wondering if there is anyway to boot into windows with my 2010 Mac Pro. I am running Mojave with a sapphire pulse rx 580, but I have open core so I do have a boot screen every time I turn in on. Are there any options for me???

Mac Pro, macOS 10.14

Hi GPasker,

Contrary to what others have said on this thread, Windows can be used for free. Unlike previous versions of Windows, all Windows 10 will do when the trial period is up is place a subtle watermark in the bottom right of your screen, but you can still use the operating system. You can download the disk image file for Windows 10 straight from Microsoft here.

(Note: you must open that link on a Mac or Linux machine to download the .ISO file, if opened on Windows it will try to get you to download their "Media creation tool" instead)

Hope it helps!

Run a Virtual Machine:

Windows itself would cost you money, So, if there ends up being not solution to this, then consider paying a little more using a Virtual Machine(VM) for windows (Windows-in-a-window). You would open items in it, and run windows right off of that. All would be accessed and would operate as desired on the VM. Virtual Machine applications include VMWare Fusion and ParallelsLearn more here: What Is a Virtual Machine? - VMWare Support.

as I have a 2010 Mac Pro running 10.14, I cannot use the boot camp assistant since apple made in unavailable since the only way to have Mojave on a Mac Pro from 2010 was to use a third party metal capable card that doesn't have apples EFI which wont give you a boot screen, hence making it not possible to switch the boot screen to boot into windows. However I have OpenCore which allows me to have a boot screen anyway, but Boot Camp Assistant doesn't see it.

Ok. I have open core which means that even though I don’t have an Apple EFI flashed card, I still get a boot screen every time where I can select a boot drive, as well as get the apple with the loading bar. Even though I have all that boot camp doesn’t know that I have a boot screen every time and since they disabled Boot camp on my machine I just want to know if there is any loop hole. My graphics card isn’t the issue. It’s better than yours.
