how to delete a menu icon from a deleted app on my macbook air

I deleted the Malwarebytes app from my MacBook Air 2014 running Big Sur OS but can't delete the icon on the menu bar. I tried using the command key and dragging it out but didn't work, checked on login items and there was nothing. How can I get rid of the icon?

"how to delete a menu icon from a deleted app on my MacBook air: I already uninstalled Malwarebytes using Cleanmymac app but can't get rid of the icon in the menu. I tried your suggestion but there is no app there anymore."

-------

Try the Following:

  • Reinstall, then Uninstall:

Reinstall Malwarebytes, then try using the uninstaller.

If of no success...

  • Try a New Administrator:

For temporary use, and troubleshooting this, create a new administrator? See if it is still there when logging into it.

  • Try in Safe Mode:

Boot in Safe Mode [Hold Down: the shift key upon boot]. In Safe Mode, login items do not open at login an damages system files (i.e.. caches) are reset. Then, run the uninstaller. Then, restart the Mac, whether or not the uninstaller is successful.
