I work for a fitness studio where I have to take photos of our members and upload the photos for their profile pictures. I just switched from an android where the process ran smooth, to an iphone where I keep getting an error that the image has to be a jpg, not a jpeg. Is there a way to have the iphone take a picturin in a jpg format rather then a jpeg or heic format?

jpg is jpeg. If in your settings (Settings>camera>formats>set to most compatible) you have the camera set to most efficient then change it to most compatible. What photo editing software are you using if any? what program is giving you the error?

If any member sends you an image ending in .jpeg, all you need to do is change the extension to .jpg
jpg and jpeg are the same thing. The actual file type is jpeg, but, since older versions of Windows only allowed 3 character file types, it was shortened to jpg.
I’ve already switched it to most compatible so it it taking them as jpeg, but for some reason this internal software we are using only recognizes jpg even though it is the same thing. Super frustrating.
Is the internal software you are using updated? What is the name of the software?
