Apple Alert Scam

As I was browsing online, I received a pop up that said that my iPhone had been infected by many viruses. The scam looked legitimate at first because it had the apple logo and the date when the scam occurred. It suggested that I download an app. At first I was panicked and I clicked on “Clear Device” on the bottom of the screen and it redirected me to the apple App Store. My question is, since I did not download the app, did I potentially somehow get anything malicious on my device just from clicking “Clear Device?” I appreciate your help.

iPhone 12, iOS 14

No. Your iPhone is fine. The "Clear Device" did NOT have the command to clear your device. It just had a link directing you to the App Store to get the app. The whole purpose of that scam is to get you to purchase useless apps.
