Procreate lag with ipencil

My ipencil is lagging in procreate only. Cannot do simple strokes at all, lines appear after a second of drawing a line so extremely hard to determine potions. I’ve tried other apps and response times are still perfect so my pen works fine. Did a reset of all settings and no improvement. Re paired with the procreate app no improvement. Has anyone found a solution? I’ve seen this as a common issue in different threads but no one has any answers and procreate seems to just blame the pencil.

Thank you for your advice, I went into an apple store to test my pencil on another device and it had the same problem. The pencil must of had a drop or some rare occurrence but with a replacement everything is back to working order.
