I have a macbook pro, (macOS Big Sur version 11.2.2). I use Final cut to produce workshop videos. I want to use a USB input camera for input media. I can't find the option to change the source to my usb.
Note, I can get the camera selection on OBS for Zoom meetings and Streaming. I would like to get it on my main camera, as an option.

Unfortunately the only camera you can use in FCP X is the built-in webcam.
I believe it is something to do with the lack of timecode in USB cameras.
This has been an irritation for the past decade.
You can use any USB camera in QuickTime and PhotoBooth but I guess you don't want to do that.
