Anyone heard any news about whether this is under development (or even better that it is available)
It seems like there was a lot of conversation about this 5-7 years ago, but nothing since.
The Drop Box one is brilliant - can't we have an iCloud version??

No nothing has changed since the earlier discussions. But for me the Finder suffices, with all its search features, as long as iCloud Drive has been added to the sidebar of my Finder Finder window. I can work with the iCloud Drive folder like with any other folder on my Mac, plus remove downloads or share folders and files.
Thanks for the ‘no news’ - did Apple ever reply to the question / request from years ago?
totally get your workaround, but with a Dropbox icon at the top (which is both convenient and easy/quick to use) I’m comparing the two - unfortunately Dropbox is winning :(.
