printer issues after upgrading to Big Sur 11.2.3

I recently upgrade the OS on mt MacBook Air to Bir Sur 11.2.3 and since then I have been unable to use my printer, the system says there has been an error trying to add the selected device. Printer is fine works on other computers.

Any ideas anyone?

As per Epson USA - drivers support only to Catalina. Suggest contacting Epson directly for Big Sur Drivers after all - they are responsible for their Equipment and Drivers.

Actually Apple is Not here and will never hear your comments on these Forums. To be constructive and to better serve your needs - suggest sending your comments Directly to Apple via their Feedback Site.


Now, Apple has made it know, for some time, to All Third Party Manufacturers and Developers of Applications / extensions and Drivers of the Big Sur requirements. Apple does not control these Companies and it is up to each to Support their Own Products with updates / upgrades. So, again to best serve your interests - Suggest getting after Epson as they are responsible and not Apple.

There are several points to consider before attempting the upgrade to Big Sur. The most important is Due Diligence on the part of the User and is a Prerequisite for a smooth upgrade.  


Are the installed Applications / Extensions compatible with Big Sur. Check with the Developer for compatible Apps / extension or do they offer updates. Same goes for Third Party Drivers for Printer, Scanners etc.
